Q&A’S were pretty hard to do. It felt pretty akward to go up there in front of individuals and speak about my film. the questions weren’t complicated to answer but being nervous made it complicated for me to talk. but it was a great learning experience because it helped me explain what inspired my film and talk about it. It was definately a great way to talk about my film but nerve wrecking.
What did i learn from begining to end? I learned that the process of production of a film can be somewhat complicated there are so many things to do for example scheduling of interviews to editing. editing was a really complicated process beacuse i had so much great footage to use but the film had to be a certain amount of time. at first i wasnt really pleased with what i had put together but once i screened and saw it on the “big screen” and got such great feedback from the individuals at the film exchange it made me change my opinion of my film in my perspective it turned out great. i was surprised that people actually got into the film: for example chris from carver really liked my film and its cool to know that someone in the east coast really liked my film and appreciated the theme of it. at the end of it all the process i was really pleased with the footage i put together.

Hey Alex, It was really great to see your film big. I think that your personal story intertwined with the stories of the day laborers you interviewed really gave your film it’s mojo. you know? Honesty always wins out because, well, it’s truth. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t. It isn’t trying to be anything but what it is. Your story is one that does not get told often enough. I’m glad you shared it with such a great film.
As far as the Q & A goes, you did a fantastic job! You, Jennifer and London were very professional up there. I can’t wait to see you presenting your films in the future if you do indeed decide to minor in film. I think that you have a lot of important things to say, I hope you keep saying them.
